Our Story

YARRA Radiology was founded by doctors who care.

Our entire team offers elite customer service and are driven to better the quality of radiology services every day.

We approach radiology pragmatically with an aim to make the entire process easier and faster for all involved.

We consistently look at different ways we can innovate the industry. Whether it be altering and streamlining managerial processes or updating age-old equipment, we believe that things can always be better. We are here to present techniques that will make your life easier and leave the patients feeling comfortable.

We listen to patients, doctors and hospitals and tailor our service to fit their specific needs. We believe that by working collaboratively with those who need radiology and the professionals analysing results, we will be able to make a real difference.

Our people

Dr Afshin Agahi graduated from University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in United States of America in Biochemistry and Mathematics. He further continued his medical education by obtaining Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with honours from University of Tasmania (UTAS) in Australia in conjunction with Bachelor of Medical Research from UTAS also with Honours in 2008.

Gisou is a highly experienced commercially focused executive officer who brings a wealth of experience and great depth of knowledge to her role at YARRA Radiology.

Gisou has been a member of the YARRA Radiology team from inception and is an Australian qualified Lawyer who also has extensive experience as an executive officer.

He has been a chief protocol officer in a large radiology organisation in Victoria. His experience in MRI is of a great value to our team at YARRA Radiology.

Kelly takes pride in working closely with radiologists and the multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on making patients feel comfortable and supported during their scans and procedures.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys an active lifestyle and regularly plays Gaelic Football with fellow expats in Fawkner Park, which helps her feel at home in Melbourne.
